The Sixteenth Edition of the International Public Finance Symposium

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (General Treasury of the Kingdom), in partnership with the Association for the International Foundation of Public Finance (FONDAFIP), is organizing the sixteenth edition of the International Public Finance Conference on November 1st and 2nd, 2024.

This edition of the conference, which will take place at the headquarters of the General Treasury of the Kingdom, is themed: "Towards a Better Restructuring of the Public Financial Governance Model in Morocco and France."

After the opening speeches, presentations of the introductory reports and keynote addresses, the conference will be organized into two panels :

  • The first panel : will focus on the theme "A Fragilized Public Financial Governance Model," characterized by the fragmentation of parliamentary authorization, the increasing subsidiarization of the state, and the decline of decentralization in France. This model is also distinguished by a fragmented public financial governance system and a growing challenge for Bretton Woods institutions in the face of new global issues.
  • The second panel : will address the pathways for restructuring the public financial governance model. The panel will explore several crucial aspects, such as combating international tax erosion, the three-year public finance budgeting program, the reorganization of public financial control mechanisms, and the use of artificial intelligence in public financial governance.
