General Treasurer of the Kingdom
Mr. Noureddine BENSOUDA is nominated General Treasurer of the Kingdom on April 26, 2010.
Mr. BENSOUDA is PhD holder in Public Law from the University of Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne, (2001) and Doctor of State in Public Law from the Mohammed V University, Rabat, (2005).
He served as Director General of Taxes, From 1999 to 2010. He was Deputy Director in charge of the Central Inspection and Cross-checking at the Tax Department in 1993, teacher at the National School of Administration of Rabat from 1993 to 1998. He also served as head of Cabinet of the Minister of Finance in 1991, and was in charge of Studies in the Office of the Minister of Finance in 1986.
Mr. BENSOUDA was Chairman of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in tax matters from 2005 to 2009 and, as such, of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He is also, since 2006, Honorary President of the Moroccan branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and Member of the Management Committee of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training.
Mr. BENSOUDA is the author of the book entitled: Analysis of the tax decision in Morocco, Preface by Michel Bouvier, Editions la Croisée des chemins, 2010. Some of his interventions made as part of his participation in symposia and conferences nationally and internationally, are published in renowned scientific journals.
